Overview
We are seeking Coax Installation Specialists I to support outdoor coax network upgrade and maintenance projects. This position focuses on installation, activation support, and basic troubleshooting within aerial, underground, and in-building environments. The role is ideal for individuals with foundational coax experience who are looking to expand their technical capabilities in a structured field environment.


Core Responsibilities
Coax Installation & Activation

  • Install coaxial cable in aerial, underground, and in-building environments
  • Install and configure taps, splitters, line extenders, and related HFC components
  • Assist with activation and signal balancing procedures
  • Read and follow coax construction prints and plant diagrams

Testing & Troubleshooting Support

  • Use signal level meters for testing and validation
  • Assist in sweep testing and signal optimization
  • Identify and report plant irregularities or performance issues

Field Operations & Safety

  • Follow all OSHA, NEC, and Universal safety standards
  • Maintain organized and hazard-free work sites
  • Use proper PPE and fall protection when required

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of coax or HFC installation experience
  • Ability to read and interpret plant diagrams
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain Power Limited Technician (PLT) registration
  • Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sweep testing equipment
  • Familiarity with activation tools or software
  • Experience working in aerial or underground coax environments

Work Environment / Additional Information

  • Field-based outdoor work environment
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project needs or weather delays
  • Report to a local facility daily; company vehicle and gas card provided for work use
  • Local travel between job sites required
