Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Manager to support fiber construction and deployment projects in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a field-based leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple operational functions across assigned projects.

The Construction Manager will lead and coordinate supervisors, foremen, crews, subcontractors, and field resources across several construction disciplines, including micro-trenching, directional drilling, restoration, fiber placement, and fiber splicing. This role is responsible for driving daily production, maintaining schedule performance, supporting field execution, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer and project requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring strong fiber construction experience, proven leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple crews, scopes, and priorities in a fast-moving field environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily field operations across assigned fiber construction work groups.
  • Manage and coordinate production for micro-trenching, directional drilling, restoration, fiber placement, and fiber splicing activities.
  • Drive daily production goals, schedule performance, and project execution across multiple crews and work fronts.
  • Identify and resolve production constraints, resource gaps, field issues, and schedule impacts.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications, permits, traffic control requirements, customer requirements, and company standards.
  • Directly manage a minimum of 3–5 field supervisors across assigned operational functions.
  • Provide leadership and support to supervisors, foremen, crews, subcontractors, and field resources.
  • Monitor labor utilization, equipment usage, crew productivity, and overall field performance.
  • Support workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee development.
  • Promote accountability, communication, and a team-oriented field culture.
  • Ensure all field operations comply with applicable safety, quality, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor field work for quality, productivity, and adherence to project standards.
  • Support safety audits, quality inspections, corrective actions, and field training as needed.
  • Reinforce safe work practices across active construction, roadway, utility, and traffic control environments.
  • Coordinate with municipalities, inspectors, utilities, customer representatives, project stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Partner with project management and construction leadership to support scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Provide clear and timely updates related to production, schedule changes, resource needs, and field constraints.
  • Support communication between field teams, subcontractors, customers, and internal leadership.
  • Monitor project budgets, labor utilization, equipment usage, and overall project profitability.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, production tracking, and project documentation.
  • Review and support closeout documentation, field updates, redlines, and project records as needed.
  • Track project progress against schedule, budget, and customer requirements.
  • Escalate risks, delays, resource needs, and cost impacts to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Understand and champion the company’s core purpose and values.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in telecom construction, fiber construction, utility construction, OSP construction, or related field operations.
  • Strong background in fiber construction, including underground construction, fiber placement, splicing, restoration, or related OSP construction activities.
  • Experience managing field production, schedules, crews, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Experience overseeing supervisors, foremen, crews, subcontractors, and/or field resources.
  • Ability to manage multiple construction disciplines, crews, scopes, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of fiber construction operations, including micro-trenching, directional drilling/bore, restoration, fiber placement, and fiber splicing.
  • Strong understanding of production management, schedule performance, labor utilization, equipment planning, and project profitability.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, permits, project specifications, schedules, and field documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with municipalities, inspectors, utilities, subcontractors, customers, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify field risks, resolve constraints, and make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project tracking tools, scheduling systems, reporting platforms, and field documentation processes.
  • Proven history of excellent customer service and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Comfortable working in active construction, roadway, utility, and traffic control environments.
  • Ability to travel locally throughout the Las Vegas market and support field operations as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional technical training or construction management education.
  • Prior experience managing multiple fiber construction disciplines.
  • Experience directly managing 3–5+ supervisors.
  • Las Vegas or Nevada market experience.
  • Experience managing customer-facing project expectations.
  • Experience supporting large-scale fiber deployment or market expansion.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, depending on project requirements.
  • Additional safety, traffic control, utility, or construction-related certifications.

Work Environment / Additional Information

  • This is a field-based leadership role supporting fiber construction and deployment projects in the Las Vegas, Nevada market.
  • Must be comfortable working in active construction, roadway, utility, and traffic control environments.
  • Local travel throughout the Las Vegas market is required to support field operations.
