Overview
We are seeking a Construction Supervisor to oversee and support telecommunications construction activities, coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and project execution efforts while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards.
This role requires strong field leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to support multiple job sites while ensuring construction activities remain aligned with project schedules and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise in-house and subcontractor crews performing telecommunications construction work
- Support underground and aerial crews in the field from a supervisory perspective
- Monitor project progress to help ensure production, quality, and schedule objectives are met
- Conduct equipment, material, and routine site inspections
- Enforce safety standards and support compliance across job sites
- Review design maps and prints to support construction execution and issue resolution
- Partner with field leadership to address challenges and improve operational efficiency
- Implement quality control methods and support continuous improvement efforts
- Report daily production and project status to management
- Support onboarding and training of field personnel as needed
- Complete project-related documentation and travel between sites as required
- Perform troubleshooting and provide solutions to job-related issues as needed
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in telecommunications construction supervision or related field leadership role
- Strong understanding of underground and aerial construction environments
- Experience managing crews, subcontractors, and field production activities
- Ability to read and interpret design maps, prints, and project documentation
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and quality control practices
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to work full-time with occasional overtime
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience supervising underground telecom construction projects
- Experience supporting fiber, utility, or broadband infrastructure projects
- Prior experience with production reporting and field performance tracking
Work Environment / Travel / Schedule
- Onsite, field-based role supporting multiple project locations
- Full-time schedule with occasional overtime based on project demands
- Travel between job sites required
