Overview
The MDU Specialist is responsible for securing building access and Right of Entry (ROE) agreements across multidwelling units (MDUs) and residential communities. This role leads negotiations, manages accessrelated agreements, and supports network expansion projects by coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. Success in this role is driven by consistent community engagement, professional presence, and the ability to secure timely access approvals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary lead for negotiating and securing building access agreements, including entrance agreements, licences, letters of authorization, portfolio agreements, and MSAs.
  • Drive community engagement efforts with property managers, HOAs, landlords, developers, and municipal stakeholders to obtain ROE.
  • Coordinate delivery and integration of building access, space, and power with engineering, construction, and project teams.
  • Forecast, manage, and track expenditures related to access fees, rent, utilities, and associated operating and capital expenses.
  • Support postexecution contract management, including documentation, financial tracking, invoice review, and agreement renewals.
  • Provide estimated costs and timelines for accessrelated components of network expansion or building integration projects.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in building access strategy, property negotiation, and MDU market practices.
  • Maintain awareness of market rates, fees, and trends within MDUs, subdivisions, and small business environments.
  • Support ontime project delivery while balancing scope, budget, and operational constraints.
  • Coordinate financial management controls and ordertobill processes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related role; experience supporting large construction or infrastructure deployments preferred.
  • Strong background in building access, outside plant, contract management, thirdparty agreements, and negotiation.
  • Proven ability to engage confidently with property managers, HOAs, developers, and community stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and professional phonebased engagement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to small or large groups.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and project or financial management software.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to work independently in a fieldbased role while maintaining professional office standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in adjacent industries such as telecom, wireless, construction, utilities, or oil and gas.
  • Background in project coordination, permitting, or rightofway negotiation.

Work Environment / Additional Information

  • Combination of fieldbased work and office or homebased administrative tasks.
  • Regular travel to residential and commercial project locations.
  • Exposure to construction environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience
