Overview
We are seeking seasoned Wireless / RF Field Technicians to support the final deployment, testing, and optimization of DAS and in-building wireless systems. This is a field-based role requiring extensive travel, where engineers will be responsible for ensuring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and delivering fully commissioned, high-quality wireless solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in RF systems, DAS installation and commissioning, and the ability to operate independently in fast-paced, high-impact environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform commissioning, optimization, and final system validation for DAS and in-building wireless systems
  • Conduct site surveys, signal testing, and performance analysis
  • Troubleshoot RF systems, including public safety and cellular DAS networks
  • Perform line sweeping, PIM testing, and fiber/coax testing
  • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, carriers, and AHJs on-site
  • Lead and instruct field teams on best practices and system requirements
  • Install and support DAS components including antennas, splitters, repeaters, amplifiers, and head-end equipment
  • Terminate N-type connectors and install coaxial cabling (including ½” coax)
  • Mount antennas (including Yagi antennas) and associated hardware
  • Plan cable pathways and support installation logistics
  • Maintain accurate commissioning data, test results, and closeout documentation
  • Provide weekly project updates and ensure quality control across deployments
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA requirements
  • Support integration with fire alarm systems and monitoring panels where applicable
  • Deliver strong customer service and maintain professional communication on-site

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in DAS, wireless, or RF field environments (senior-level experience strongly preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of RF theory (public safety and cellular systems)
  • Experience commissioning and optimizing DAS systems
  • Experience installing DAS or in-building cellular systems
  • Hands-on experience with Cat5, fiber, and coaxial cable installation
  • Experience with fiber testing, fusion splicing, and coax sweep testing
  • Proficiency with test equipment such as OTDR, spectrum analyzers (e.g., Anritsu), and signal generators
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, Visio drawings, and construction documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including contractors and customers
  • Strong understanding of relay logic and DAS integration with fire alarm systems
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based, travel-heavy role
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PIM testing and advanced RF diagnostics
  • Experience working with multiple OEM systems and connection types
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • CPR / First Aid certification
  • EMT or First Responder system installation experience (preferred but not required)

Work Environment / Additional Information

  • Field-based role with approximately 80% travel (typically on-site during weekdays, home on weekends)
