HNM Honored with Rankings in SDBJ 2019 Book of Lists

By Heather Moyer on February 26th, 2019

Our excellence in recruiting and consulting for highly skilled positions in ET and ICT was recently recognized by the San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ), earning HNM Systems coveted rankings in their 2019 Book of Lists in three areas. According to SDBJ’s site, “[the] lists provide the most up-to-date information and data points across more than 50 industries… [It] is an exclusive compilation of more than 90 lists containing data and contacts for San Diego County businesses.”

We are proud to announce our placement in the following rankings, based on a variety of metrics such as revenue and number of certified positions as well as third-party research on IT recruiters, in this year’s Book of Lists:

  • #9 in Permanent Placement Services
  • #13 in Temporary Placement Services
  • #13 in Telecom Companies

Relentlessly People Driven

We consider this a gratifying confirmation of our core values to be “relentlessly people driven,” for example. CEO Heather Moyer says the most important part of her work is being people-oriented and building relationships. This is representative in the way that Heather and HNM as a business puts our employees and customer needs above all.

Another one of HNM Systems’ core values as a technology staffing company is to “Be Home Base” and this perspective shows in our unique approach in this niche industry. “Having a ‘home base’ for your career lets you consider a variety of paths in the rapidly expanding field of telecommunications but with fewer stop-and-start dates on your resume.”

Unlike traditional recruiting and staffing agencies, HNM System’s approach enables us to select and keep the brightest talent while also investing in them long-term. This relationship is mutually beneficial as it creates a sense of responsibility on the part of the company and cultivates trust in the employees. This mindset is what helped us get recognized by SDBJ’s Book of Lists.

Equally important, there is a heightened level of trust from companies that rely on HNM Systems to fill their needs as well. More meaningful relationships with our recruits mean that HNM Systems is better equipped to find the right talent to fill our clients’ needs to help them reach their own success.

Skilled Professionals to Lead the Charge and Get the Job Done

As recognized by the Book of Lists, HNM Systems, Inc. provides highly skilled professional support services in the Emerging and ICT sectors, including employer and placement services as well as turn-key wireless consulting for customers in wireless, wireline and utility. The Emerging Techologies division includes the development of custom, automated software systems and providing expert digital marketing services. With a consultative, people-driven approach leveraging a proprietary screening process and integrated technology, HNM identifies world-class talent with high-impact skills that help businesses implement the latest technology network infrastructure as well as provide leadership and execution support.

Information Communication Technology (ICT)

HNM’s ICT division offers support in key areas of wireless technology that enable businesses to offer enhanced experiences to their patrons. Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), a powerfully effective and seamless solution for exponential network traffic growth at large venues and other hard to serve areas, without aesthetic or regulatory disruptions. High-frequency local area wireless technology, known as “Wi-Fi,” that uses radio waves to provide wireless high-speed internet and network connections from a modem, router or access point to electronic devices. Widely used in businesses, schools, homes, airports, hotels and fast food restaurants, Wi-Fi networks can be set up to reduce interference and allowing multiple devices to use the same wireless connection simultaneously. Smart grids, which use computer-based remote control and automation to optimize the conservation and delivery of power.

Software can be used in mobile marketing services to instruct mobile phones to provide customers with time and location sensitive, personalized information that promotes goods, services, and ideas. Fiber optics enables cable providers, and Internet suppliers to transmit messaging and communication from one location to another.

Finally, we provide leadership and expert management of these systems through lifecycle planning, organizing, motivating and coordinating of resources, and establishing and enforcing procedures and protocols to achieve project completion on time and within customer’s budget and requirements.

Emerging Technologies

HNM’s Emerging Technologies division serves organizations in Cloud IT Solutions (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), Mobile and Digital Marketing (SEM, SEO, and Paid Media), and e-Commerce. HNM works with clients that focus on building software-as-a-service (SaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) solutions to innovate and build revolutionary platforms. Our employees support clients efforts to introduce new server and software technologies, orchestrate new programming and software policies, work with virtualization technologies and grow progress-driven environments.

We also offer administration and planning support for global network infrastructure, both hardware and software, managing connectivity, and maintaining strong capacity, productivity, security and performance. In addition to these, we provide technical leadership and hands-on execution of the commerce platforms and online applications.

Finally, our experienced and skilled professionals in the Emerging Technologies division also support customers in mobile and digital marketing strategy and execution, utilizing a data-driven approach that includes optimization and testing.

The Need Is Only Expected to Grow

There are no signs of slowing down in tech industries, and as innovations are deployed faster and faster and consumers demand more and more network services, experience and expertise will separate the wheat from the chaff.

“As we enter 2019, innovation and agility have become essential competitive ingredients for any organization, regardless of industry. According to Paul Sallomi, global technology, media, and telecommunications industry leader and US and global technology sector leader, companies need to take even greater advantage of cloud platforms that make powerful artificial intelligence (AI) tools and services available to broad ranges of users.”

This high prioritization of agility means two things:

  1. Change is a natural part of the industry and businesses will continue to need help in being able to adapt its workforce to fluctuating needs. “
  2. Staff, whether temporary or permanent, who are flexible and adaptable is key to success, making recruitment of the right talent about more than hard skills. “Securing a change-ready team is a critical first step for remaining agile,” says Mark Blunden of TechRadar.com.

A Trusted Partner Is Invaluable

Sites like Yelp, TripAdvisor, and even Google capitalized on the insecurity consumers feel about making uninformed, unvetted decisions. Trusted intel on where your money is going to be spent is critical to confidence in moving forward, whether “forward” means a new restaurant or staffing a temporary telecom job. In either case, a trusted partner to help you make an informed decision with confidence is simply priceless.

HNM Systems’ recognition for the Book of Lists by the SDBJ provides further evidence that our focused efforts to earn trust and expertise while doing the hard work of developing relationships of integrity are working.
